 Industrial Design

The Industrial Design Pavilion is next door to the Museum of Fine Arts in Cité du Havre.

It feature an exhibition of projetcs conceived and executed bu industrial design students from 18 major schools. Austria, France, Denmark, Sweden, Holland, Poland, Japan, Britain, United States, Germany, Finland and Canada are all represented.

Each project deals with a social problem existing in a national environment: the problems treated include leisure activities, locomotion and education.

The schools represented have brought a fascinating variety of approach, with a rich vein of humor present in the concept and design of exhibits.

Industrial design is also represented in the program of the Dupont of Canada Auditorium on Ile Sainte-Hélène. A highly entertaining film in color describing the role of industrial designers in contemporary society and in modern industry us screened in the auditorium three times daily.
