Metro of Montréal

The Métro (Subway) of Montreal, inaugurated in the autumn of 1966, offered another example of modern progress. It will have needed less than five years to build it on a 15 and a half mile length (about 25 km).

Its total 213,7 million dollar cost contained 45 millions necessary for the rolling stock made in the region. And naturally, it served the Expo 67 except during the strike which lasted 31 days between September 20th and October 21st, 1967.
